History

Occidental Equestriennes was formed in 1975 when a group of women trail riding in the town of Occidental tied up at the Union Hotel for lunch. During lunch they decided to form a trail riding club.

The club evolved from a trail riding organization into a group of women who ride both English and western with diversified backgrounds including: teaching, engineering, law, and medicine.
